Korean actress Ha Ji-won is the latest star to sign a contract with Peter Lam’s company, Media Asia Entertainment Group.

According to Mingpao News, the actress, famous for dramas such as “Secret Garden” and “Empress Ki”, recently made an appearance at the contract signing event, which was held at the Shanghai International Film Festival.

“I have always dreamed of entering the Chinese market. I know that I have a lot of fans here, and I am always grateful. This way, I will be able to connect more closely with them,” said Ha at the event.
Now that she is part of Media Asia, Ha revealed that she is set to collaborate in John Woo’s upcoming movie, “Manhunt”.
“I am honoured. It’s a dream come true to work with a director like John Woo, whom we all admired when we were growing up,” she enthused.
Ha added that while she has yet to begin filming, she has already started her action and martial arts training in preparation for the movie.
It was reported that the actress will be playing the role of an assassin in the upcoming film, which is a remake of the 1976 Japanese classic film of the same name.
