As reported on Shanghai Daily, the announcement was made at the Shanghai International Film Festival, as part of the many Sino-Korean movie projects that will be produced in the coming months.
Hong Kong star Eric Tsang is set to produce and direct a Chinese remake of Korean movie, “Salut d’Amour”.
The original 2015 movie stars veteran Korean star Park Geun-hyung as an old man who tries to court his new neighbour (played by Young Yuh-jung) as the town cheers him on.
Details about the upcoming project have yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, mainland star Sun Honglei is set to star in the Chinese remake of another Korean movie, “Veteran”, which originally starred Hwang Jung-min.
