As reported on Mingpao News, the South Korean heartthrob, who attended the press conference for the new Sino-Korean production in Beijing alongside co-star Wallace Chung recently, stated that he took the effort to memorise his lines by using the pinyin system at first because he didn’t understand the language.
Korean actor Lee Min-ho admitted that learning Mandarin would have been harder for him if not for the help of his co-stars of the new film, “Bounty Hunters”.
However, Lee stated that he was able to learn the language better in the first week through the help of his co-stars.
The actor also admitted that part of the reason he accepted the offer to star in the movie is because of the millions of fans he has in China.
“In order to repay everybody’s support, I decided to do this film,” he said.
“Bounty Hunters” revolves around five bounty hunters chasing fugitives for money across China, Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand. It also stars Tiffany Tang, Jeremy Tsui, and Karena Ng.
