Jolin Tsai’s music video for “Play” has been chosen as a finalist at the Berlin Music Video Awards.
As reported on Mingpao News, the video, directed by Muh Chen and produced by Taipei’s GrassJelly Studio, was shortlisted into the top ten final nominees for the BMVA 2016, as announced on BMVA official website on 11 April.

This isn’t the first time that Jolin’s MV was nominated at the BMVA. Back in 2014, “The Great Artist”, which was also directed by Muh Chen, was nominated for Best Visual Effects at the same event.

“The MV was a fun and creative work. I hope the director will win,” said Jolin, when asked about the nomination.
The music video for “Play” has also won various recognitions since it was released on November 2014, including Germany’s Red Dot Design Award’s Visual Communication Design. It was also one of YouTube’s Most Played Chinese Songs of 2015.
