As reported on Epoch Times, the actress, who is currently promoting her new movie, “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny”, stated that she is currently at the happiest moment in her life.
Michelle Yeoh, who earlier revealed that she is getting married to FIA President Jean Todt this year, was unabashed as she sang praises for her soon-to-be husband recently.
Sharing to the media Todt’s previous wedding proposal more than ten years ago, Michelle said, “I previously said that he was not romantic, so it was not a particularly elaborate proposal. We were on a vacation at the beach when he suddenly knelt down and asked me to marry him. I was very moved.”
“Of course, everybody wants to have that romantic feeling, because it makes us happy and excited. But for me, the most important thing is communication, understanding, and respect,” she added.
When asked if Todt was more like Liu Mubai, Chow Yun Fat’s character in the first “Crouching Tiger” movie, or Donnie Yen’s Silent Wolf in the sequel, Michelle replied, “My fiancé is the combination of the two. He is quite perfect, so I am happy. He is gentle and has great respect for me, and he is supportive in what I do.”
As for her upcoming wedding with Todt, Michelle stated that the two of them are currently trying to find the right time and the right day for it, since they are both very busy.
