HBO has finally released the first official trailer for “Game of Thrones” season six which seems very dark and gloomy (obviously!), hinting that many more will be facing death as winter descends.
The 80-second clip shows the Hall of Faces which houses skinned faces of the dead, and features some familiar characters who have died in previous seasons including Ned, Rob, and Catelyn Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, and lastly, Jon Snow, with some lines they spoke from past seasons.
Ned Stark: “The man who passes the sentence should swing the sword.”
Robb Stark: “I’ve won every battle, but I’m losing this war.”
Catelyn Stark: “Show them how it feels to lose what they love.”
Joffrey Baratheon: “Everyone is mine to torment.”
Jon Snow: “The long night is coming, and the dead come with it.”
As Jon recites his lines, the camera pans to the faces of the surviving characters; Sansa Stark, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Arya Stark, and Jaime Lannister.
Does this mean that the remaining characters will be meeting their dooms as well? And also, does this mean that Jon Snow is dead for good? Only time will tell.
“Game of Thrones” begins its ten-episode sixth season in Malaysia the same time as the U.S.: Monday April 25 at 9am, with a same day primetime encore at 9pm – only on HBO (Astro Ch 411 / 431).
