Philippines’ one-of-a-kind double music festival, The Malasimbo Festival returns for its sixth year running at the beautiful tropical gardens found at the foothills of Mount Malasimbo, ready to attract more party lovers across the region with a variety of music from soul to jazz, hip hop, electronic and more.
The festival blends traditional and contemporary arts, as well as culture together with music performances while aiming to protect and sustain the natural environment by giving a portion of their proceeds to charity.
The fest is set to take place outdoors in a grass-terraced amphitheatre at the foot of Mount Malasimbo overlooking Puerto Galera Bay, which is known to be one of the most beautiful bays in the world.
Apart from the main Malasimbo Music and Arts festival which will take place from 4 to 6 March, featuring 24 live acts and 5 DJs, there will also be a second Malasimbo festival called the Malasimbo Lights and Dance festival which will be held from 24 to 26 March, focussing more on electronic dance music.
Most of the artistes for the main line-up, which is the Music and Arts fest – are Filipinos, but there are also a couple of regional and international acts added into the mix, like U.K. musician Jacob Collier, Australian composer and conductor Gordon Hamilton and Japanese DJ Chikashi Nishiwaki.
Meanwhile, the Lights and Dance fest boasts a huge line-up of international performers including DJ Kentaro from Japan, Lapalux from U.K., Dualist Inquiry from India, Sweet Talk from Hong Kong, MC Shureshock from Australia, and Onra from France.
