Fresh from winning Best Actress at the Macau International Film Festival, Hong Kong actress Kara Hui recently started her new project, “Mrs. K”.

According to Film Business Asia, the new movie, directed by Malaysia’s Ho Yuhang, tells the story of a woman who strives to protect her family from the enemies of her past.

The movie reunites the director and actress, who worked together previously on “At the End of Daybreak” back in 2009, which earned Kara seven Best Actress awards including one at the Hong Kong Film Awards, and Best Supporting Actress at the Asian Film Awards.
The new movie also co-stars Hong Kong’s Simon Yam, Taiwan’s Wu Bai, and Malaysia’s Faizal Hussein.
The movie is scheduled to wrap up production by mid-2016.
