Sheerios from all around the world will be sad to know that the red-headed multitalented British musician, Ed Sheeran, will be taking a break from social media for a while.
After recently completing his “x Tour” (read as multiply tour) last Saturday, 12 December at New Zealand, the 24-year-old singer posted on his Instagram about his hiatus from social media.
“Hello all. I’m taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while,” wrote the award-winning British singer.
“I’ve had such an amazing ride over the last 5 years but I find myself seeing the world through a screen and not my eyes, so I’m taking this opportunity of me not having to be anywhere or do anything to travel the world and see everything I missed.”
He also told his family and his friends that if they love him they will understand him “buggering off for a bit”. Meanwhile, he confirmed to his fans that a third album of his is currently “on its way and is the best thing” he has ever made thus far.
Sheeran then ended his message with, “See you all next autumn, and thank you for being amazing.”
Sheeran is not the only singer taking a break in 2016, British boy group One Direction will also be taking a break temporarily in March 2016 following their fifth album, “Made in the A.M.”.
