Sarawakian songstress Dayang Nurfaizah is set to perform at the “Malam Terang Bulan” concert once again at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP).
Last year, Dayang was also one of the performers at the inaugural orchestra concert which narrates the origins of Malaysia’s national anthem, “Negaraku”.
The musical concert will be based on Saidah Rastam’s book, “Rosalie and Other Love Songs”, featuring more than 15 songs from the Merdeka era composed by the likes of Gus Steyn, Saiful Bahri, Alfonso Soliano, A. Rahman, P. Ramlee, Zubir Said and Benjamin Britten.
Other than Dayang, the one-and-a-half hour concert will also feature other performers like Musly Ramli, Zamzuriah Zahari, Evelyn Feroza, Faizal ‘Lok U’ Uzir and Mei Lin Hii.
The performers will be accompanied by the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and Malaysian Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, led by conductor Ahmad Muriz Che Rose, The Rakyat Post reports.
Organised by Khazanah Nasional once again, the concert will be opened to public from 20 until 22 November 2015.
Tickets for the concert priced between RM80 to RM200 and can be purchased via mpo.com.my.
