Hong Kong actor Simon Yam has recently been presented with the Honorary Maria Award at the 48th Sitges Film Festival.

According to Oriental Daily, the actor, whose two films “Two Thumbs Up” and “SPL 2” were shown at the festival, stated that he was very honoured with the award given to him.

“Every year, my films will be shown there. This time around, two of my films were shown,” he said.
Simon was honoured with the aforementioned award in recognition of his productive life achievement, having made over 200 films since his debut.
The actor, who stayed for four days at the festival, which is held in Sitges, Spain from 9 to 18 October, stated that he used the opportunity to promote not only Hong Kong films but Hong Kong cuisine as well.
