The 22nd instalment of Malaysia’s annual awards music ceremony, Anugerah Industri Muzik 2015 or commonly known as AIM which was slated to take place this November or December, will now be postponed to mid-next year.
The Chairman of AIM organising committee, Rosmin Hashim said that the postponement is not due to any existing issues but a strategic move to make the event more exclusive, MStar reports.
“Usually, AIM will be held by the end of every year, but we realised that during the year end, there will be a lot of other award ceremony taking place. So, to avoid the ceremony coinciding with other award event, we decide to move it to next year,” he added.
Rosmin also noted that this move will make AIM seem more exclusive as it will be the only awards event held during that period.
There is still no exact confirmed date for the event, but Rosmin said that they will soon hold a press conference to announce the official date and other specific details.
