As reported on Mingpao News, the 23-year-old Cambridge Law graduate recently addressed rumours about a new TVB policy that forces its stars to sign a long-term contract.
While most beauty queens, like Aimee Chan, Myolie Wu and Grace Chan, went straight from the pageant circuit to TV acting, Miss Hong Kong 2015 Louisa Mak recently revealed that she is not yet ready to become a full-fledged actress.
She stated, “We’ve had a meeting with [TVB Executive] Catherine Tsang before, but we have not received any notification about any long-term contract.”
However, when asked if she would sign a ten-year deal with TVB, Louisa stated that she would look at the terms and conditions applied, as well as the job requirements before making any decisions.
But for now, the beauty queen isn’t ready to follow the footsteps of Grace Chan just yet.
“One should not hurry if one is not ready. I think we should do something step by step, and start with a small role,” she said.
Louisa also admitted that she is more interested in becoming a host for informative programmes or shows related to current affairs.
