The Queen of Taiwanese Music signified the end of her showbiz career with a symbolic microphone ceremony.

According to Focus Taiwan, the singer, who just recently concluded the final show of her 25 series farewell concert in Kaohsiung, held a special ceremony where she placed one of her microphones into a jewellery case.

She then proceeded to lock the transparent case with a key before taking a bow in front of the audience.
The 54-year-old, whose singing career spans three decades, revealed that a microphone is an important tool in her career as a singer and that she wanted it to be the symbol to mark the end of her career.
Jody announced her retirement back in January this year, as well as a series of 16 concerts that will serve as her way to bid farewell to fans. The organisers later added nine more shows due to overwhelming reception.
The singer has also performed with various top singers in Taiwan during her shows that begun in July, including Hong Kong Heavenly King Jacky Cheung, singer-songwriters Jay Chou and JJ Lin, as well as pop divas Jolin Tsai and A-Mei.
