Guinness Amplify returns this year with Amplify: Curates, a platform which serves to seek and support talented local bands and solo musicians in Malaysia in a “Paying it Forward” concept.
For example, Amplify: Curates will highlight one local artiste who will then in turn choose two to three more local acts to share a stage with them, giving them a chance to showcase their musical talents.
The first Guinness Amplify: Curates series started back in April with indie pop songstress Froya headlining the show alongside budding local talents: Jumero, +2dB and Rozella.
Froya also took the chance that day to officially launch her debut album “Panic Bird”.
Following the success of the first Amplify: Curates, the second series will now present a 3-piece indie hippie-like band, Jumero who are ready to launch their debut album, “Stepping Stones”.
Taking place at Laundry Bar, The Curve, 8pm, 21 August with free admission, the show will also feature all-female quartet Crinkle Cut and singer-songwriter Natallie Ng as the supporting acts.
