Malaysian YouTuber Jinnyboy has always been known for his creatively produced videos which consist of music video parodies, short films which are mostly of the comedy nature.

He and his team have released yet another music video parody, and this time it is called “Durian”, a hilarious take of the Maroon 5 song, “Sugar”.

Together with his Jinnyboy TV partner Reuben Kang, the duo replaced the original lyrics of “Sugar” with some silly love proclamations for the durian, which actually makes a lot of sense and is actually kinda catchy! Like this bit of lyrics right here; “Malaysians love it, Mat Sallehs hate it, it tastes like heaven, but smells like hell”.

Where the Maroon 5 video showed the band surprising their fans on their wedding day with a performance behind closed curtains, this video shows Jinnyboy and Reuben travelling to random places and delivering durians to random surprised people after revealing themselves behind a curtain!

The video was released on YouTube last Thursday and has already gotten almost 160k views with close to 6k likes.

This is Jinnyboy’s first music video parody which is not in collaboration with where he used to DJ at.

His previous parodies include; “Asian” (parody of Christina Perry’s “Human”, “Atuk” (parody of Joe Flizzow’s “Havoc”), “KL Style” (parody of PSY’s “Gangnam Style”) and “The Drama” (parody of Ylvis’ “The Fox”).
