Cantopop singer J.Arie has recently made her acting debut in Gordon Lam’s sophomore production, “Get Outta Here”.

According to Oriental Daily News, the 25-year-old singer, who recently appeared on Johnson Lee’s talk show, “Sze You Tonight”, revealed that she plays a ‘typical Hong Kong woman’ in the horror comedy movie, which also co-stars Alex Lam and Stephanie Che.

“You can’t say that Hong Kong women are good or bad. They are demanding and not pretentious,” she said.
In a previous interview, J.Arie stated that her character is quite crazy, unlike her real self.
“I had to scream down the phone in the middle of Mongkok. In real life, I am more reserved,” she said.
Meanwhile, Gordon revealed that he made the decision to cast J.Arie after seeing her in a music video.
“What attracted me to her is that she isn’t your typical pretty girl. She has this girl-next-door look,” said the actor-turned-producer.
