What happens when you take modern songs and put them in a different era?
Well, Scott Bradlee and his amazing group of musicians, famously known as Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), can answer that question – or even better, watch them perform the songs live as they will be making their debut in Malaysia next month!
With his growing and rotating collection of ensemble talents, American musician, pianist, composer, and arranger Scott Bradlee is known for his viral videos on YouTube, where he takes on modern songs and puts them in 20th century music styles like jazz, doo-wop, blues, swing and more.
Postmodern Jukebox has more than 1.4 million subscribers and over 200 million views on YouTube.
Their doo-wop cover of Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop”, featuring vocal group The Tee-Tones went viral, garnering more than 13.8 million views.
Postmodern Jukebox now has more than 50 talented musicians, some notable ones include American Idol’s contestants Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams and Blake Lewis, Broadway singers and actresses Shoshana Bean and Morgan James, and singer-songwriter cum actress Sara Niemietz.
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox Live in KL will be held on 15 September 2015 at KL Live.
