The idol singer-turned-actor, who will star in his first period action film alongside huge stars including Andy Lau and Matt Damon, stated that he was at first afraid of approaching his seniors.
Former EXO member Luhan is ecstatic to be part of a Sino-Hollywood epic film, “The Great Wall”, Sina’s Daily News reported.
“I thought that they would be serious, but they are actually really friendly,” he said, during a press conference of the film in Beijing recently.
“They shared a lot of experiences with me and would come talk to me about the film. I am very thankful,” he added.
Playing a young soldier in the movie, Luhan admitted that he was in awe with the large scale production that comes with a Hollywood film.
“There are a lot of people, a lot of cars, and a lot of scenery. There’s also a lot of really delicious food!” he enthused.
Meanwhile, Hollywood star Matt Damon confessed that he was surprised at how popular Luhan is when he saw hundreds of flower arrangements sent to the singer.
To be directed by Zhang Yimou, “The Great Wall” tells the story about a group of foreign mercenaries in Song Dynasty who stumble upon the secrets of the Great Wall of China.
It also stars Zhang Hanyu, Eddie Peng, Willem Dafoe, and Pedro Pascal.
