After meeting and befriending each other through the reality singing competition, “I Am a Singer 3”, Hong Kong singer Leo Ku and mainland singer-songwriter Li Ronghao recently collaborated on Leo’s new song, “Monster”.

As reported on Tencent Entertainment, “Monster”, one of the songs in Leo’s new album, “Us”, is written by Lee Cheuk Hung, and composed by Li Ronghao himself.

Leo revealed that he was inspired after watching the American historical drama thriller, “The Imitation Game” – about Cambridge mathematician and cryptanalyst Alan Turing, who was convicted of indecency due to his homosexuality despite his service in decrypting German intelligence codes for the British government during World War II.
Leo stated that he was overwhelmed with emotion after watching the movie during one of his flights, and quickly contacted Lee Cheuk Hung to discuss the lyrics.
“I want to send the message that everybody is unique, and even if a person is a monster in the eyes of others, he is also a unique God-given treasure,” said Leo.
Li, who composed and produced the song, expressed his delight in working with Leo for the first time, adding that some of the song’s parts were tailor-made for Leo’s soothing voice.
