Busy star Karen Mok has recently taken time off to team up with Animals Asia Foundation and a fashion brand to launch an Asian Black Bear-themed apparel.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who is currently busy preparing for her concert, has actively participated in designing the shirts, which were created to raise awareness about the plight of the Asian black bear (also known as moon bear).

Karen has also adopted a cute baby bear, aptly named “Baby”.
Karen revealed that after suffering enormous physical and mental trauma at bear farms, the moon bears are now receiving rehabilitation aid at the China Bear Rescue Centre in Chengdu, the first of its kind in the world.
The singer hopes that the Karen Mok Moon Bear series will attract more attention to the issues concerning the bears.
For years, moon bears have been captured and housed in tiny cages for their bile, used in traditional Chinese medicine. Experts estimate at least 12,000 bears are in bile bear facilities today, in locations including China, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and South Korea.
