Twitter has finally decided to remove its 140-character limit – but only for direct messages, which would actually be a smooth move as the limits have always been a nuisance for DMs since they are meant to be a private conversation between friends anyway.
Now, Twitter users can rant and brag all they want to their friends through DMs as the character limit for it is now up to 10,000 characters.
Though Twitter’s DMs have removed its character limit, normal Tweets will remain its traditional 140-character limit as it is meant to serve as a quick info bite because the social network platform has always encouraged users to keep their messages short.
