Jackie Chan in Nepal
Action star-philanthropist Jackie Chan has recently donated 5,000 boxes of relied aids to the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

As reported on ECNS News, on 9 June, the “Dragon Blade” star arrived in Kathmandu along with relief supplies for displaced families jointly sponsored by the China Red Cross Society, Taobao Fund, and Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation Beijing, and was surprised to receive a warm welcome from the people.

Not only did the people chant his name upon his arrival, they also greeted him with flowers and gave him the traditional Nepali cap, Dhaka Topi.
“I felt coming here myself is more important than donating money. I want to tell them that they are not alone and that we all own this world, this earth,” said the actor.
He continued, “Disasters don’t have a one-day recovery. It takes years, and so patience is necessary. The people of Nepal should not feel alone during this phase.”
The 5,000 disaster relief packs will be distributed to the worst hit districts like Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Dhading, and Nuwakot.
