Let’s celebrate history and the heritage of the Singapore River as well as its story at the Singapore River Festival 2015, taking place from 23 to 25 October 2015.
“We are incredibly excited about Singapore River Festival 2015, which will bring together some of the most creative talents in Singapore and beyond for a weekend packed with exciting entertainment to highlight the unique destination offerings of Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Robertson Quay,” said Singapore River One Executive Director Michelle Koh in a statement.
The three-day festival will offer a range of exciting activities like art installations, food, and music performances featuring local and international artistes, and much more!
In celebration with SG50, the theme of the festival is “River Stories” where the organiser of the event encourages the public to share photos of themselves with friends and family beside or on the river, with a short description explaining the story behind the photo.
If you submit your photo to the River Stories photo competition at the festival, you might have a chance of winning SGD3,000 worth of dining and entertainment vouchers at establishments along the Singapore River.
The competition runs from 22 June to 22 July 2015 on the Singapore River Festival Facebook page.
“River Stories will provide a unique ‘through the lens’ view of the history and heritage of the Singapore River – where it all began. It’s about the people of Singapore and their stories, mapping out all the memorable moments in the lives of Singaporeans now and in the past. The resulting stories will be celebrated in the artwork and interactive installations taking place throughout the Festival, making it not-to-be-missed!” Michelle added.
