The 2015 edition of the Putrajaya Youth Festival which takes place this weekend (22 to 24 May 2015), will mark the rebirth of Rakan Muda, as the festival this year will be run entirely by the community focused youth programme.

With this year’s theme chosen as “Talent Showcase”, the objective of the festival is to allow the youth to collectively showcase their talents through cooperation as well as to spark their inspiration through the various workshops and activities prepared at the festival.

Coincidentally, the theme of this year’s Putrajaya Youth Festival also coincides with Rakan Muda’s new philosophy.

“Apart from all the changes in physical appearance which is aimed at giving festival goers a more exciting and unique experience, the biggest difference this year is that the content is truly mobilised and fleshed from the youth, for the youth,” said Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin as quoted by The Star.

The 3-day youth festival will take place at Dataran Gemilang, Presint 4 Putrajaya from 10am to 10pm.

The festival will be separated into four zones with four different themes; North (Mind), West (Community), East (Active) and South (Arts and Culture), and each zone will have talented Rakan Muda mentors to act as guides.

There will be numerous workshops, events and activities held during this 3-day festival, visit, to find out more.
