The western district of Singapore will welcome the opening of the first major hotel in that area – Genting Hotel Jurong, which will be launched by Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) by the end of this month.
With an aim to get more visitors to the Jurong Lake District, the 15-storey, 557-room hotel which is located along Jurong Town Hall Road, will have a soft opening on 30 April follow by its grand opening a month later on 27 May 2015.

The grand hotel will be in close proximity distance with popular shopping malls such as Jem and JCube, as well as the International Business Park and the Jurong East Bus Terminal and MRT station, AsiaOne reports.
Mr Chow Keng Hai, Vice President of Rooms, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) said in a statement;
“Genting Hotel Jurong will boost RWS’ room inventory significantly and forms part of our business strategy to drive greater visitorship to RWS.
It also allows us to be part of the exciting transformation that is taking place at the Jurong Lake District. The Singapore government’s development plans to revitalise the area into a stunning lakeside destination for business and leisure, bode well for Genting Hotel Jurong.
“Designed for both leisure and business travellers, we are confident that this functional and eco-friendly hotel will continue to garner the enthusiastic interest that it has received from the corporates situated in the vicinity so far.”
Genting Hotel Jurong is a 15-minute drive from the Tuas Checkpoint which connects Singapore to Johor Bahru. It is also a 25-minute drive from RWS and a 40-minute drive from Singapore Changi Airport.
A free 24-hour shuttle bus service which runs continually between the hotel and RWS will be made available to the guests at Genting Hotel Jurong.
