Ikano Pte Ltd that operates the Swedish furniture retailer store in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia, has planned to open another outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the official Facebook page of Ikea, they have announced that the new outlet will be located at Jalan Cochrane, which comes as good news to all Cheras residents!

Ikea Malaysia also announced in a statement that the upcoming store will be built to be the biggest Ikea outlet in Malaysia, as it is going to be 20% larger than the Ikea Damansara outlet.

“The development is currently ongoing as we progress to focus on the interior fittings and operational set-up of the store,” said retail director Mike King.

As most Malaysians know, Ikea is not only well-known for its furniture alone, the Swedish meatballs from its food court have always been a major attraction to most of the shoppers, as they’re selling for only RM10 per 10 pieces.

Other than that, their RM1 freshly made curry puff and ice cream have also been irresistible to the shoppers’ appetites.

King also mentioned that more updates about the new outlet and its opening date will be revealed soon over the next coming months.
