Cable TV service provider, ASTRO will soon be having another competitor in the form of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) and MYTV Broadcasting Sdn Bhd who will be cooperating together to set up their own cable service.
According to TehPanas, RTM and MYTV have a total of 80 broadcasting TV channels and 40 radio channels to provide to fellow Malaysians for free.
Furthermore, 45 out of the 80 channels are set to be High Definition channels.
In order to enjoy the free channels broadcasted by RTM and MYTV, all you have to do is purchase their RM200 decoder starting from this coming June 2015 onwards.
The first batch to receive the free TV channels will be Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan, moving on to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan.
Perlis will be next, followed by Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, with Putrajaya the last state to follow suit.
