The popular American reality TV series “Survivor” will be shooting its next two upcoming seasons, 31st and 32nd, on the tropical island resort of Koh Rong in Cambodia from March until July this year.
“The U.S. show “Survivor” will begin filming in March at Koh Rong Island off the coast of Preah Sihanouk province and currently, their crew have been preparing scenes and installing equipment on the island,” said Preah Sihanouk, the provincial governor Chhit Sokhon to Xinhua.
Making its debut in 2000, “Survivor” is based on the Swedish show “Expedition Robinson”, and with its long successful run since then, had its 30th season premiere last Wednesday in the United States.
The 13th season of the French version of “Survivor” was also shot at Cambodia’s island of Koh Rong but the series was cancelled due to the death of a contestant followed by the suicide of the program’s on-site doctor.
