Although filming of “The Monkey King 2” has recently wrapped, lead actor Aaron Kwok revealed that there might be an additional filming to be done before the movie goes into post-production.

According to Oriental Daily News, the actor, who attended the press conference for another movie, “Port of Call”, at the Hong Kong FILMART recently, disclosed that director Cheang Pou Soi has plans to shoot additional scenes in New Zealand.

When asked if that means he would have to wear the Monkey King costume he so loathed, Aaron replied, “I’m not sure just yet. I hope not!”
“Although I am already used to it, I never thought that it would be ten times as tough this time around,” he added.
Meanwhile, “Port of Call” has recently been selected to be the closing film of the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
Aaron revealed that the new movie has been in the works since the time he was working on “Cold War”, but was postponed due to technical issues. He expressed happiness that the film is finally making its premiere.
