Earlier today, Taiwanese commercial flight, TransAsia Airways had crashed into a river near Taipei claiming the lives of 9 passengers with dozens of others injured, The Guardian reports.
TransAsia GE 235 which was carrying 58 passengers on-board, was supposed to be travelling from Taipei to the Kinmen islands but crashed into the river 3 minutes after its takeoff when its left wing accidentally clipped a taxi cab and a guardrail.
The passengers of the plane consisted of 51 adults, 2 children and 5 crew members, where 27 people have been safely rescued from the wreckage and sent to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the taxi had suffered a head injury and concussion, but is now in a stable state.
