After the grand opening of the first Tim Ho Wan restaurant at The Boulevard in Mid Valley City Kuala Lumpur, the world’s cheapest Michelin-star Dim Sum restaurant is on its way to opening their second outlet at One Utama Shopping Mall sometime this year.
According to Hype, this famous Hong Kong chained Dim Sum restaurant will be located on the ground floor of the Old Wing near C.I Express, Kare, and Aeron.
Tim Ho Wan was established back in 2009 by Mak Kwai Pui. The restaurant is praised for its cheap price yet good quality of food. The owner follows the Chinese tradition of keeping the restaurant’s interior design plain and tables that are close together.

Another dish that has caught some of the online critics’ attention is the wasabi salad prawn dumplings. The dumpling is stuffed with shrimps and is deep fried until it is golden and crispy, and decorated with some wasabi dressing accompanied by fish roe on top.
To avoid disappointment, online reviews advise first timers to be at the restaurant as early as possible for a table. This is due to the restaurant not taking any advance reservations.
Opening hours are from Monday to Sunday, 10am to 9pm.
