Attention to all hardcore Naruto fans out there! Kotaku has announced that a Naruto musical dubbed as “Live Spectacle Naruto” will be coming to Malaysian shores this March!

According to Anime News Network, the musical will run from 21 March 2015 to 5 April 2015 in the AiiA Theater Tokyo, followed by performances in Fukuoka (10 – 12 April 2015), Osaka (17 – 19 April 2015), Miyagi (23 – 25 April 2015), and then Tokyo again (29 April – 10 May 2015).

But most importantly, after its run in Japan, there will be international performances for the musical where Malaysia will be included as one of the countries on the list!

However the date and venue for the musical are yet to be confirmed. For now, the other countries announced are Singapore and Macau.

Naruto Musical

Directed by Akiko Kodama with Toshio Masuda composing the music, it has been reported that the musical will cover the manga story of Naruto from the 1st to 27th volume where drama, songs, dance, and acrobatics will be included as well.

Other cast included in the musical are; Yuuki Kimisawa as Kakashi, Kazuhiro Hirakawa as the Third Hokage, Hidekazu Ichinose as Iruka, Tatsunari Kimura as Kabuto, Asahi Uchida as Zabuza and Miho Imamura as Haku.

The long-running Naruto manga series recently ended in 10 November 2014 and it is the third best-selling manga series of all-time with over 200 million copies sold worldwide after One Piece and Dragon Ball.

Naruto recently also released its last movie titled, “The Last: Naruto the Movie” in Japan to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the franchise. The movie will hit Malaysian cinemas in 29 January 2015.
