Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh recently took time off her busy schedule to join the flood relief team in Kelantan, one of the Malaysian east coast states that fell victim to the recent massive flooding.

As reported on Mingpao News, the actress has recently flown to Kota Bharu and straight to Kuala Krai with Buddhist association, Fo Guang Shan, in order to help transport and distribute essential items to the victims of the flood.

Admitting sadness over the damage caused by the massive floods, Yeoh expressed her hopes that the government will do its best in assisting the victims.
She noted that several affected areas have issues in terms of its garbage system, as well as still lacking in water and electricity.
The actress was also moved by the strength and willpower of the victims, saying that they could still smile despite the tribulation.
