Wong Kar Wai will be releasing his martial arts film, “The Grandmaster”, in 3D next year.
As reported on On CC News, the director recently stated that the 3D version will have a different presentation, with the structure adjusted to flow more smoothly, and a never-before-seen footage will appear as well.
The original 130-minute duration will also be cut down to 111 minutes, with a faster pace and a more powerful story.
“3D is a very effective method that gives the story’s expression more space and possibilities,” he said. “I hope that “The Grandmaster 3D” would be able to provide everyone with a new angle to the storyline.”
While the mainland release date for the movie has been set on 8 January 2015, no information has been revealed in regard to its worldwide release dates.
