Newlywed stars, Mark Chao and Gao Yuanyuan, were in tears as they exchanged their vows at their wedding celebration held in Taipei recently, Sina’s Daily News reported.

The couple, who also invited director Chen Kaige as a witness to symbolise their union which began after working together in his movie “Caught in the Web” back in 2012, expressed their love and support for each other at the ceremony, as witnessed by family and friends during the 40-table banquet held at the Le Meridien Hotel.

Gao, who looked stunning in a Chloe dress, shared their hardship and struggles of being in a long-distance relationship. “I knew we loved each other despite being separated by different cities, and I love you. As long as you are present, our home can be anywhere.”
“People always said that my ideal man doesn’t exist. But you exceeded all my expectations. I will follow you wherever you go and will continue to love you and your family,” she gushed.
In an interview later on, Mark revealed that his mind went blank as he was giving his vows, but admitted to have been touched by his wife’s poignant speech.
“I am 30 and I have kept my promise to find a very perfect woman. I hope everyone will continue to give us blessings and support us,” said Mark.
Among stars who attended the wedding are directors Johnnie To and Tsai Yueh Hsun, actors Huang Bo, Ethan Ruan, as well as actresses Angelababy, Carina Lau and Zhao Wei.
