Hong Kong singer Kay Tse recently defended GEM Tang, after the latter was criticised for holding up the Radio Metro Music Hits Awards and its post-party celebration with her tardiness.

According to Mingpao News, the singer, who attended the press conference of the Jade Solid Gold Awards ceremony on 29 December, stated, “I pity her very much. Maybe it’s because she is still young.”

“She joined the industry at such a young age, and people tend to exaggerate minor issues,” she said.
Meanwhile, in response to actor Anthony Wong’s criticism about the award show, saying that nine out of ten singers were out of tune, Kay replied, “There are in fact many factors that you should think about. Some singers have very few opportunities to sing live, and the sound quality in live performances also plays an important role.”
“It even took me ten years before I gain confidence in my performance,” said Kay.
