Chinese singer-songwriter Zhou Bichang (also known as Bibi Zhou) has recently defeated competitions from around the globe to win the Best Worldwide Act at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards.

As reported on Sina News, the singer, who attended the event held in Glasgow, Scotland recently, beat other nominees that include UK’s One Direction, US’ girl group Fifth Harmony, South Korea’s B.A.P., as well as Germany’s rock band Revolverhead.

In her speech, Zhou thanked everybody who has voted for her, and even sent a message to host Nicki Minaj, saying, “Nicki, I love your butt!”
This is the third time a Chinese singer has won the award, after Han Geng (2012) and Li Yuchun (2013), the latter who triumphed over her in the 2005 reality singing competition, “Super Girl”.
