[Gig Review] Chvrches rockin’ at Urbanscapes Satellite Show
The first Urbanscapes Satellite Show for this year was a blast with Scottish electronic band Chvrches kicking off the party with an astonishingly amazing performance!
Held at KL Live at the Life Centre on Wednesday, 19 November 2014 at 8pm sharp the party began with the opening performance by +2db followed by the Scottish trio who around 9pm performed a total of 14 songs including “We Sink”, “Gun”, “The Mother We Share”, “Night Sky”, “Dead Air” and “By The Throat”.
Around 1,500 people attended the festival that showcased the talents of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty.
The Urbanscapes Satellite Show will continue on with two more shows by Scottish post-rock band, Mogwai (30 November) and American comedy rock duo, Tenacious D (1 December), the latter where one of the band members is the popular American actor and comedian, Jack Black.
The 2014 Urbanscapes main event will take place at the Horse Ranch, Resorts World Genting on 6 December 2014. The artistes who will be performing at the event include Paperplane Pursuit, Dirgahayu, Kuah Jenhan, OJ Law, Najwa Mahiaddin along with international artistes; The Lemonheads, Jagwar Ma dan Kimbra.
