Following the trend of adapting programmes from other countries, it was revealed Chinese streaming giant Youku Tudou will be making the Chinese version of the hit global reality show, “Big Brother”.

As reported on ECNS News, the company has recently signed a deal with Dutch production company Endemol to bring the format to China, making it the first time a programme will be shown in an online form, rather than via a broadcasting station.

The Chinese version of “Big Brother” reportedly will have ten episodes for the first season, and will be aired weekly on Youku on the weekends.
Created by John de Mol, “Big Brother” is a reality game show franchise that was originally based on a show of the same name from the Netherlands.
