The popular video game franchise, Angry Birds, is about to make its nest in Johor Bahru as The Star reported that an indoor activity park featuring the sling-shot birds will be opened this coming Friday, 31 October 2014.
First of such parks in Southeast Asia, it is located on the third floor of the Komtar Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC) shopping mall in Johor Bahru. The admission fee is RM75 per entry. Those who possessed MyKad or MyKid holder will be charged RM60 per person.
The indoor park features various fun games and activities for families with little kids to enjoy such as Lazer Bird Shoot, Red Bird Goal, Piggy Shooting Gallery and Captain Black Bird Ship.
The Star reported that Damansara Asset Sdn Bhd Executive Director, Yusaini Sidek, revealed that the park is a joint venture with the founder of Angry Birds, Finland-based Rovio Entertainment Ltd.
“Fans in Malaysia and neighbouring countries can now immerse themselves in the world of Angry Birds through fun and interactive physical and educational activities,” said Yusaini Sidek.
Johor Corp President and Chief Executive, Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, said that the activity park aimed to bring in 150,000 visitors in its first year of operation.
The park will be opened from 10am to 10pm, starting from Friday 31 October 2014 onwards.
