It was reported that Jackie Chan’s son and actor, Jaycee Chan is officially under arrest on suspicion of harbouring suspected drug users.
As reported on Sina News, the Dongcheng District Prosecutor’s Office had confirmed the news on 17 September, saying that it had given approval for the formal arrest of the actor following a request from the Beijing Police a week earlier.
If he is found guilty, Jaycee may be facing a maximum sentence of three years’ imprisonment.
The 31-year-old actor shocked the entertainment world last month when he was arrested for using drugs at his home in Beijing along several other suspects, including Taiwanese actor, Kai Ko.
Jaycee, who has admitted to using drugs and had tested positive for marijuana, has been detained at the Dongcheng Detention Centre since 14 August.
The actor has been communicating with his parents through Jackie Chan’s hired legal representative.
