Penny will definitely buy shoes with that kind of money, Sheldon will probably build a mini train town and Leonard…well, buy a mansion where he and Penny can co-exist with Sheldon peacefully?
Okay, so it’s the not the “Big Bang” characters that are getting the money per se, it’s the stars themselves that are getting the raise in their pay.
Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki were embroiled in a contract dispute prior to the filming of the show’s eighth season. However, the conflict seems to have been settled now as the three biggest stars of “The Big Bang Theory” are set to sign a three-year contract each with Warner Bros. TV offering them USD 1 million per episode.
Either the studio pays up or it loses its leading stars in the show.
The only other stars to have received salaries of this “big-banging” amount were the cast of “Friends” in the final season of the show.
Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) and Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler) are the only cast members who have settled their contract before the other stars’ contract dispute blew up. Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali) meanwhile still haven’t reached an end to their negotiations with the studio.
If everything goes well, “The Big Bang Theory” will be retuning with Season 8 on 22 September.
Would it still be “The Big Bang Theory” if only Howard and Raj are left in the gang?
