Photos: Protestors at McDonald’s over Israel boycott
“Boycott McD dan kekejaman Zionist”, those are the words chanted by the anti-McDonald’s group gathered outside McDonald’s branch in Alor Setar, Johor and several other locations in the Klang Valley like Bangsar and Masjid Jamek.
The group in Alor Setar which held the biggest protest was made up of members of non-governmental organisation Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) and the public who are boycotting McDonald’s for its alleged link to the Gaza attacks.
The move to boycott the fast-food chain was initiated when activists on social media called for one, saying that McDonald’s is related to Israeli interests and supports Israel in its attacks on Gaza.
Below are some of the pictures from the boycott today, courtesy of Malaysiakini and various social media uploads.
