Introducing TREC, one of the major developments in Kuala Lumpur, an urban and entertainment district located at Jalan Tun Razak. It is Malaysia’s first and only purpose-built, urban F&B, lifestyle and commercial destination and is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
The new entertainment hub cost around RM152 million is developed by Avant City Sdn Bhd and is built on 7-acres of land owned by the Royal Selangor Golf Club.
TREC is separated into 5 unique zones; Electric Boulevard, Alcove, The Terraces, The Hive and Rhapsody Square & Quad. These zones includes casual and fine dining restaurants, quirky and artsy independent cafés, wine bars, pubs lounges, clubs and lifestyle related services which aimed to attract local patrons and international tourists.
The founder and managing director of TREC and the co-founder and owner of Zouk KL, Cher Ng explained, “Kuala Lumpur has not seen any large-scale integrated entertainment developments in recent times. This is an area where we are falling behind our ASEAN neighbours. TREC will provide a safe, integrated entertainment destination for locals and a focal point for tourists in Malaysia,”
Located next to Zouk KL which is one of the most successful entertainment brands and the leading night club in Malaysia, the purpose-built entertainment hub was said to envision the likes of Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong, Shanghai’s Xin Tian Di, and Singapore’s Clarke Quay.
Cher Ng also said, “Our aim with TREC is to showcase Malaysia’s diverse offerings in terms of lifestyle experiences. With the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, we are confident in establishing Malaysia as the ultimate tourist destination whilst increasing jobs and contributing to the local economy, all in a safe and secure setting.”
