Celebrities tend to find friends in their own circle, and it’s usually from where they work. Whether they find each other from a studio set, back stage of a concert, in the studio or business meetings, some of the strongest celebrity best friends form where they work.

Some count on each other for success, some become friends and start side projects together, and sme form friendships on the projects themselves, and we countdown 5 of the many great Hollywood best-friendships who have worked together.

1. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler

Probably the greatest modern best friends who work together constantly, the comedy duo Amy Poehler and Tina Fey started ruling the world together when they started out at “Saturday Night Live”, and then took the Earth by storm making cult classic “Mean Girls” together.

But they don’t just work well together, they each have successful comedies on their own. Tina Fey created “30 Rock” and won multiple awards, while Amy Poehler created “Parks and Recreation” and has recently won an Emmy for her role as Leslie Knope.

The two even hosted the Golden Globes together. These two are basically unstoppable, not that anyone wants to stop them anyway.

2. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon

“The Office” and “The Mindy Project” star and writer Mindy Kaling started her comedy career creating a play with a friend called “Matt and Ben” based on the two best buds, and that’s how influential Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are as best friends who work together. The two wrote and starred in “Good Will Hunting”, which earned them an Oscar for Best Screenplay, and eventually started off their career together. The two also starred in movies like “Dogma” together where they also played best friends, and these two seemed inseparable, but obviously the pair also did pretty well on their own.

Matt Damon is arguably the better actor of the two, starring in films like “The Bourne Identity”, “Invictus” and “True Grit”, but Ben Affleck had won another Oscar for directing his film “Argo”.

Their careers sort of differ, but they still have time to be the best of friends and make fun of each other for charity, like in this video.

The pop star and comedian turned talk show host worked together for many skits in Saturday Night Live, when Fallon was a cast member and Timberlake had hosted many times. They’ve made skits like the Barry Gibb talk show, and when they both impersonated Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.

When Fallon hosted Late Night, they both had tons and tons of sketches together, and Timberlake performed for a week straight, a week which Fallon christened “Timberweek”. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they are proud best friends.

The sketches they make go viral on the internet, like the recent #Hashtag skit, and this personal favourite sketch of ours below.

4. Brad Pitt and George Clooney

It’s great that they’ve found each other in Hollywood, as they are equally successful, desirable and timelessly attractive. It’s almost unfair that they have each other to depend upon as best friends, but there you go. The two starred in the “Oceans Eleven” franchise together, as well as the film “Burn After Reading”. Clooney is even accused of pulling various pranks on Pitt on sets, and has praised his best friend multiple times. He’s also picked by Pitt to officiate his and Angelina Jolie’s wedding.

5. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato

The pop stars and actresses have been friends since they were just tiny little child actors. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato met at an audition for kids show Barney the Dinosaur, and have since been inseparable. The both of them even ventured off to Disney together, where Selena had an early start as a child actress, and Demi took off as Disney’s singing child prodigy, and even had her own show, and a film about singing with the Jonas Brothers for little while.

They’re young adults now, with Gomez pursuing more of a pop career, and Lovato as a judge in the X Factor, but they have Disney’s strongest actor friendship since they started.
