“Fix You”, “Encounter” among the free K-dramas for Daebak Thursday

Every Thursday is a ‘daebak’ day for K-drama lovers thanks to Viu’s weekly serving of specially curated Korean dramas.

Viu’s Daebak Thursday serves up to 12 premium titles every week, all available for free viewing for 24 hours!

These K-dramas can be streamed for free starting from 6pm every Thursday on various Viu platforms including the mobile app, mobile browser, desktop, Android TV and selected LG TVs.

The titles available for this week are:

1. “Fix You” (32 episodes) – A touching drama about quirky psychiatrist Lee Si Joon (Shin Ha Kyun) who is helping rising musical actress Han Woo Joo (Jung So Min) mend her emotional wounds.

2. “Love with Flaws” (32 episodes) – Oh Yeon Seo plays Joo Seo Yeon, who believes that good-looking men only mean trouble, while Ahn Jae Hyun plays Lee Kang Woo, who has misconceptions about her at first but his view gradually changes.

3. “Extra-ordinary You” (32 episodes) – Starring SF9 member Ro Woon opposite Kim Hye-yoon, this romantic drama follows Kim’s Eun Dan-oh who realises she is a character in a comic and wants to break free of the writer’s will, which grows stronger after she meets Ro Woon’s character, Student Number 13.

4. “Into the Ring” (32 episodes) – Nana, of K-pop girl group After School, plays “professional resignee”, Goo Se Ra, who gets fired so often from her jobs that now her only option is to run for office, get elected and stay elected.

5. “The Tale of Nokdu” (32 episodes) – A period drama about Jeon Nok Du (Jang Dong Yoon) who, while on the run, disguises himself as a woman to live in seclusion in a village of widows.  

6. “365: Repeat the Year” (25 episodes) – Ji Hyung Joo (Lee Joon Hyuk) and Shin Ga-Hyun (Nam Ji-Hyun), a detective and a webcomic writer, are both given the chance to travel back in time to a year ago, but unexpected things begin happening.

7. “Kkondae Intern” (24 episodes) – A workplace comedy drama that revolves around Park Hae Jin’s character Ga Yeol Chan and his delightful revenge on a former boss, Lee Man Shik (Kim Eung Soo), who gave him a hard time in his previous job.

8. “Meow, the Secret Boy” (24 episodes) – Kim Myung Soo, also known by his K-pop idol moniker L, stars as Hong Jo, a cat that can take on human form but he tries to hide this from Sol Ah (Shin Ye Eun), the graphic designer whose home he shares. 

9. “Uncontrollably Fond” (20 episodes) – Starring Kim Woo-bin and Miss A’s Bae Suzy as former classmates Shin Joon-young and Noh Eul, who reunite when the latter is tasked with producing a documentary on Shin, now a popular actor-singer.

10. “Black Knight” (20 episodes) – A story spanning over 200 years about Moon Soo Ho (Kim Rae Won), a man who is willing to do anything for the love of his life, and Jung Hae Ra (Shin Se Kyung), who is waiting for the love of her life.

11. “Encounter” (16 episodes) – Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo pair up as Kim Jin Hyuk, a free-spirited young soul, and Cha Soo Hyun, a daughter of a political family who has just divorced her husband, in this romantic drama.

12. “A Piece of Your Mind” (12 episodes) – Moon Ha Won (Jung Hae In), a man well known in the AI industry, crosses path with Han Seo Woo (Chae Soo Bin), a classical music recording engineer, and the two begin a journey together.
