“Raven’s Home” teaser brings nostalgia and hilarity

“That’s So Raven’s” highly anticipated sequel, “Raven’s Home”, has finally unveiled its teaser trailer which had hit 90s kids right in the childhood feels!

The trailer focuses on the titular character Raven Baxter played by Raven Symone, along with her best friend in the whole world, Chelsea Daniels, played by Anneliese van der Pol – where both of them are divorced mothers, raising their children in a house together.

The dynamic duo is as crazy as fans remember them to be and the hilarity that made the show so special and memorable to fans has thankfully remained intact.

In the new series, things get a little complicated when Raven’s son Booker (Issac Ryan Brown) begins to show signs that he has inherited his mom’s psychic gene, which no doubt will cause even more hilarity and misunderstandings.

The series also stars Navia Robinson as Booker's twin sister Nia, Jason Maybaum as Chelsea's son Levi, and Sky Katz as their neighbour, Tess.

Also, Raven and Chelsea is not the only familiar faces you’ll see in the series.

Recently, it has been revealed that the father of Raven’s children will be played by none other than Jonathan McDaniel better known as Lil’ J, who played Raven’s first love and steady boyfriend Devon Carter in “That’s So Raven” series.

Apart from that, it has also been hinted that Rondell Sheridan and T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh, who played Raven’s parents Victor and Tania, as well as Kyle Massey who played Raven’s brother Cory, will make special appearances on the show.

However, the only main cast who won’t be returning to the show is Orlando Brown, who played Raven’s other best friend, Eddie Thomas, and the reason Brown won’t appear on the show is because he had a feud with Symone by the end of 2016.

Nevertheless, we’re expecting more familiar faces to appear on the series like Adrienne Bailon who played Raven’s rival Alana, Bobb'e J. Thompson who was Raven’s neighbour Stanley, and Raven’s mentee Sydney played by Sydney Park.

“That’s So Raven” is the first show in Disney channel history to make the 100 episode mark which was later surpassed by “Wizards of Waverly Place” with 106 episodes, and the first Disney Channel series to produce a spinoff which was “Cory in the House”.

“Raven's Home” will debut on Friday, 21 July 2017 on the Disney Channel.
