Events Not To Be Missed: December 2016


We’re already at the last month of the year, but the year is not yet over as there are still tons of events and festivals in store for you!

Check ‘em out!

1. GOT7 “Flight Log: Turbulence” in Malaysia (4 December 2016)  

Seven-member South Korean boy band GOT7 will be arriving in Malaysia once again to debut their inaugural concert in the country, in support of their second studio album “Flight Log: Turbulence”.

Venue: Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

2. ZoukOut 2016 (9 – 10 December 2016) 

Singapore’s annual outdoor rave party returns once again with two of the top DJs in the world, Hardwell and Zedd as the headliners.

Venue: Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore

3. Park Bo Gum Asia Tour In Kuala Lumpur (10 December 2016) 

South Korean heartthrob Park Bo Gum is kicking off his Asian tour in Malaysia this month, while also visiting other Asian countries like Hong Kong, Jakarta, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and also cities in Mainland China.

4. Penang Island Jazz Music at Laundry bar (10 December 2016) 

Time to groove and swing to the music of Penang Island Jazz as Laundry bar is bringing over the special sound to Klang Valley with Macedonian-born New York-based Vladimir Četkar Trio and Malaysia’s very own Jumero  to perform.

5. Julio Iglesias in Malaysia (11 December 2016) 

One of the best-selling artists of all time and the best-selling Latin artist in history, and also father of the internationally well-known Spanish singer-songwriter and actor Enrique Iglesias; Julio Iglesias is set to headline a concert in the country.

Venue: Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands, Malaysia

UPDATED 6 December 2016: It has been announced that Julio Iglesias upcoming concert on 11 December 2016 at Genting Highlands has been cancelled due to  the singer's health reasons.

6. TWP presents DJ Snake (11 December 2016) 

Known for his viral single “Turn Down for What” with Lil Jon, Grammy-nominated producer and artiste DJ Snake is making his way to Kuala Lumpur this month for The White Party (TWP).

7. Peabo Bryson, Regina Belle & Deniece Williams (17 December 2016) 

Together with Grammy award-winning ladies, Deniece Williams and Regina Belle, soft-rock ballads king Peabo Bryson returns for another spectacular performance at Genting.

Venue: Arena of Stars, Genting Highlands, Malaysia

8. Rock the World 2016 (17 December 2016)  

Malaysia’s annual rock music festival, Rock the World, which is dubbed as one of the biggest in Malaysia, returns with a smaller but strong line-up of artistes with only a single stage instead of the usual three stages.

9. PokeHunt Run (18 December 2016) 

Be a Pokémon trainer in real life by running and hunting for Pokémon that are hiding around at PokeHunt Run.

10. Sky Connection (21 December 2016)  

Get ready for Vietnam’s biggest concert Sky Connection as Vietnamese airlines Vietjet is flying in renowned Danish band, Michael Learn to Rock (MLTR) and K-Pop darlings, Wonder Girls to the country.

Venue: Quan Khu 7 Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

11. Bunkface X Live in Kuala Lumpur (24 December 2016)  

Marking their 10th anniversary, Malaysian punk-rock trio Bunkface is set to hold a special concert in conjunction of their 10th year anniversary in the music industry.

Venue: Chin Woo Stadium, Malaysia

12. Wings in Sabah (25 December 2016) 

Following their two successful concerts in the peninsular Malaysia, rock legend Wings continues their 30th anniversary celebration in the east part of the country.

Venue: Stadium Likas, Sabah, Malaysia

13. Run for Your Lives race (31 December 2016) 

Fans of zombie apocalypse are welcomed to join the frightening fun run of the year, Run for Your Lives, touted as the world’s premier zombie-infested 5K obstacle course where runners need to dodge and escape from the clutches of zombies.
