Little Malaysian chef is offered to star in “Cake Boss”
The phrase “good deeds don't go unnoticed” certainly apply for Chef Leah, who has been offered an opportunity to appear and also work on her idol Buddy Valastro’s show, “Cake Boss”!
The celebrity chef from New Jersey visited Malaysia earlier this week to promote the new season of “Cake Boss”, and during his visit, he also made time to meet his little Malaysian fan, Leah Choy.
Seven-year-old Leah has been baking since she was 4-years-old to help raise funds for her little sister Adele, who suffers from a brain injury since birth.
Touched by her story, Buddy decided to personally meet the little baker and even promised her a tour of his shop when she comes to visit.
“I finally met Buddy Valastro and he's invited me to his shop and for me to be on his Cake Boss show! He even offered to do something to fund raise for Adele. I'm so so touched and happy by his kindness. We will see you soon Buddy in New Jersey,” Leah posted on the page of her Facebook store, Chef Leah with a big heart.
Meeting Buddy is a dream come true for Leah, and she even presented him with her homemade cupcakes.
“As Buddy walked in, she gave him a firm hand shake and presented to him her cupcakes basket bouquet. He was literally blown away by the cupcakes,” Leah’s mother Tay Mei Yean posted on Facebook.
Until today, Leah has successfully baked and decorated over 13,500 cupcakes, raising close to RM40,000 for her sister.
